Cayla is a passionate storyteller, photographer and experienced illustrator. She earned her Master of Fine Arts in Studio Arts from Eastern Michigan University in 2022. Her latest collaborative book, "The World in My Pocket" by Ben Page, was picked up by Barnes & Noble in 2024. Cayla's work combines traditional drawing with watercolor, cut paper, photography and set design to create a unique illustrative style. Her art centers around real and imagined ecological-human relationships, through the exploration of mythology, science, psychology and ecology.
